Day 1 : Arrival Christchurch
Today you fly to Christchurch. Our local driver will be waiting outside the customs area to take you to the hotel. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax.
Day 2 : Christchurch - Queenstown Today you proceed to Queenstown. Enroute you are taken on a panoramic tour of Christchurch. You will be driven past the city’s beautiful parks and gardens and view the Gothic-style University building. You then pass through Mt. Cook National Park and stop for photo opportunities at the picturesque stone Church of the Good Shepherd and at Lake Tekapo. This lake gets its intense milky-turquoise colour from the fine rock-flour (ground by glaciers) which is suspended in the water. You will arrive late evening in Queenstown.
Day 3 : Queenstown
Today you are taken on a tour of Queenstown, visiting city highlights, such as beautiful Lake Hayes, the AJ Hackett Bungy Bridge site, the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown and the Edith Cavell Bridge - a concrete parabolic arch bridge over the Shotover River. Later, enjoy a ride in the Skyline Queenstown Gondola - the steepest cable car lift in the Southern Hemisphere - to Bob’s Peak, from where you will gain stunning views of Queenstown. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy other activities in Queenstown on your own.
Day 4 : Queenstown
Today we take you on a full-day excursion to Milford Sound, a fiord in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island, which is one of New Zealand’s most well-known scenic attractions. You proceed through the lush beech forests of Eglington Valley to board the cruise (weather permitting) and enjoy the fjord-land scenery. The fiord’s cliffs rise vertically from the dark waters, mountain peaks scrape the sky and waterfalls cascade downwards. Milford Sound is home to fur seals, penguins and dolphins. Later, youare driven back to Queenstown.
Day 5 : Rotorua
Today you take a flight to Auckland. On arrival, you are driven to Rotorua, a city on the southern shores of Lake Rotorua. Enroute you will visit the Waitomo Caves, an extensive underground cave system. You are then take a boat ride on the underground river and visit the Glowworm Grotto. As your boat glides through the darkness, thousands of tiny glowworms lighting up the cave will give you an amazing experience. Later your journey to Rotorua and you are checked into the hotel for the night.
Day 6 : Rotorua
Today features a tour of Rotorua, to visit the Agrodome and Sheep Shearing Show - the Unique New Zealand Farm Experience. This award-winning show, featuring a cast of talented animals, provides an exciting and informative insight into the world of New Zealand agriculture. You later visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve, which is world famous for the ‘healing waters’ of its thermal spas. Thereafter, you get a chance to experience Maori culture at the Te Puia Village, with its traditional Maori houses, history and heritage.
Day 7 : Auckland
Today you proceed to Auckland, a city in New Zealand’s North Island. On arrival you are taken on a panoramic city tour and see the Harbour Bridge - an eight-lane box truss motorway bridge over the Waitemata Harbour; Auckland Domain - a 75-hectare park developed around the cone of an extinct volcano; Queen Street - a major commercial thoroughfare and the bustling City Centre.
Day 8 : Depart to India
Today you take your flight home. We hope you take back many happy memories of your holiday
